The planned district around Florenc and Masaryk Station has taken another step forward. Prague councillors have approved two key changes to the zoning plan and a contract on contributions from the developer on Thursday, reports E15.cz.

Prague has approved two changes to the zoning plan necessary for the planned construction of Penta on land northeast of Masaryk Station and in Florenc. On Thursday, city councillors approved them along with contracts on so-called contributions, which the developer will provide to the municipality, Prague 1 and Prague 8 in the form of money or non-financial performance. The total value of the contributions is CZK 304.2 million (€12.26 million), according to approved materials, and the councils of Prague 1 and Prague 8 have already approved the contracts. Among other things, new housing, public amenities and a kindergarten are to be built on the territory.

Penta has already built the Masaryčka office building on part of the land near Masaryk Station, which it opened last year. The first of the changes to the zoning plan, which was approved by the councillors on Thursday, concerns additional land near the station to the east, while the second plot on Florenc also includes the bus station. Penta purchased it, along with adjacent land, in 2023.
